Cross Platform designed and built the direct booking website for Palette, a short-let apartment in Akobo, Ibadan, run by Joyworth Properties.
The site lets guests explore the apartment room by room, pick their dates and request a booking directly with Palette, without going through third-party booking platforms. It builds on our earlier brand and website work for Joyworth.
Visit the live sitePalette is a two-bedroom apartment designed to stand out, with a painted mural corridor, a burnt-orange hallway, colour-themed bedrooms and deep green tiled bathrooms. Short-let guests book on looks, so the space needed to be shown in full. Listing only on booking platforms means paying commission, competing with nearby listings and having less control over the guest relationship. Palette also offers two ways to stay, a single bedroom or the whole apartment, plus extras like a private chef and airport pickup. They needed their own booking website that showcased the design, handled both stay options and let the team approve each guest before taking payment.
The website opens with Palette’s promise, a stylish home away from home, a starting nightly price and two clear paths: check dates or walk through the space. The room-by-room gallery guides guests through the apartment like a virtual tour, with 15 photos across seven spaces, each with a short caption, swipeable on mobile and viewable full screen. Guests choose between booking one bedroom or the whole apartment, select their dates and number of guests, and see the total, including a refundable caution deposit, before sending their request. They can add a note for on-request services such as private catering, concierge, wellness, airport transfers and content creation. Nothing is charged until Palette accepts the request, which gives the owner control over who stays. A “Find my booking” page lets guests look up their reservation at any time. The site uses the apartment’s own colour palette in its design, is built mobile-first and loads optimised images for fast browsing.
Palette now takes bookings directly, keeping more of every booking and owning the relationship with each guest. The gallery does the selling, the booking flow handles pricing and capacity for both stay options, and the approval step protects the property before any money changes hands. With a link they can share anywhere, from Instagram to WhatsApp, Joyworth has turned Palette into a short-let business with its own sales channel.
After our brand and website, we came back to Cross Platform for Palette. Guests can walk through the apartment room by room and request a booking directly, and we approve every stay before anything is paid. We now have our own booking channel instead of relying entirely on third-party platforms.
